The following sections describe how to access files from local and remote CD-ROM drives.
Mounting a Local CD-ROM
Use the following procedure to mount a CD-ROM from a local drive.

Insert the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
vold automatically mounts the file system on the CD-ROM at /cdrom/cdlabel, where cdlabel is the label written on the CD. Then vold creates the symbolic link /cdrom/cdrom0, which points to /cdrom/cdlabel. If you have more than one CD drive on a system, each drive gets its own symbolic link: /cdrom/cdrom0, /cdrom/cdrom1, and so on.
