Primary Administrator Capabilities

With RBAC, the Primary Administrator can provide all other administrators with tools and commands to perform specific jobs and can restrict the other administrator's access to additional tools and commands.

A right is a named collection that includes three components.

  • Commands.

  • Authorizations to use specific applications or to perform specific functions within an application.

  • Other previously created rights.

The Primary Administrator can grant or deny rights to other administrators.

The Primary Administrator uses the Solaris Management Console (SMC) to grant rights in the following two ways.
