Description
The Service Access Facility (SAF) is a group of daemons and administrative commands that provide a flexible administrative framework for managing service requests in an open-systems environment. SAF uses port monitors to monitor a set of homogeneous incoming requests on a system port, detect incoming requests, and connect them to the appropriate service process. The network port monitor daemon is named listen.
