Customizing reports
There may be times where some specific data needs to be extracted from the Orion database and presented in a report. For example, you or one of your customers may need a report that lists all interfaces with a description that include the words uplink or trunk. Another example is that you may need to display a simple report on how much hard disk space is left on all monitored servers. Whatever the reasons may be, Orion NPM has the capability to help you produce almost any type of report from any piece of information in the Orion database. To create a new report, you use the Report Writer application.
