THE INNOVATION EQUATION PART 3: THE PROCESS CONTINUES
Think of how mountain bikes evolved. A group of kids from Northern California wanted to ride up and down hill trails, so they needed wide tires from their fathers’ bikes to absorb the shock, combined with the gears of 10 speeds to climb the hills. That mashup became the mountain bike, which is now a nearly $60 billion business. In somewhat similar fashion, the model presented here—the 5Ps Innovation Development Process—was derived from a mashup of well-developed coaching, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial models.
