Lens selection is obviously important when traveling with an SLR, because you want to cover as wide a range of subjects as you can, but bring as little equipment as possible. Depending on whether you’re traveling to enjoy, or traveling to get great photos, the size of your kit will vary. People agonize over what to bring on a trip, and packing an SLR is no exception.
Having the right lens on a trip is essential, but this was taken with a standard 3x zoom. It helps to have beautiful surroundings like Lake Tahoe, but I did have to wait until everyone left this one small section of beach.
