About the Author

Ken Milburn's background in digital photography is founded in an earlier career of fifteen years as a nationally published advertising and editorial shooter. His photographs have appeared in TV Guide, Look Magazine, and The Los Angeles Sunday Times Magazine. He has done publicity photography for Universal Pictures. His advertising clients have included Southern California Gas, Cole of California, Universal Pictures, Capitol Records, Strega Liquer, and the Fluer Corporation. Milburn is also the two-time winner of Sunshine Artist Magazine's Best Poster of the Year Award for outdoor art festivals for his posters for the 1998 and 2005 Sausalito Art Festival. Design Graphics Magazine has featured Ken Milburn's work in multiple-page full-color in two of its issues. Computer Artist and Digital Video Magazine have also featured his work. Milburn's work has been featured in the 1999 American President Lines Calendar, on book and record album covers and the promotional art for the Multimedia Live! conference and in ten one-man shows around the bay area and several of his own open studios.

Ken Milburn has been consulting on and writing about personal computer based graphics, design and multimedia since 1981. He has been a contributing editor to the Microsoft MSN-PictureIt! site.Milburn has written twenty seven computer books in the past five years.
