Creating Your First Real Query
Chapter 6, "Sorting, Finding, and Filtering Data in Tables," introduced the concepts of creating queries. You applied a sort order to tables and added record selection criteria to filters for data contained in tables. Access's Query Design window, however, gives you greater flexibility than the Filter window because it lets you choose the fields that appear in the query result set. You also can create more complex queries by joining primary and related tables.
