Installing Windows 95 from an MS-DOS Prompt
Now that you have an overview of the basic logic and operation of Windows 95 Setup and some tips for how to prepare your system, you are ready to begin installation.
Note
If you are using Windows NT or OS/2, you must boot from a floppy disk or use a dual-boot option to start Windows 95 Setup from an MS-DOS prompt.
At the MS-DOS prompt, change to the drive that contains the Windows Setup files (D: for many CD-ROMs, A: if installing from floppies). Type setup and press Enter.
