Drag-and-Drop Printing from the Desktop
A new feature of the Windows 95 operating system is the capability to print a document without first opening the associated application or the File Manager. Using desktop icons, you can quickly run print jobs from the desktop.
In earlier versions of Windows, printing used a four-step operation: open an application, load a file, initiate printing, and finally shut down the application after printing.
