Using TrueType Fonts
TrueType fonts are an integral part of Windows 95 and many font styles come bundled with the operating system, as described earlier. TrueType scalable fonts offer several advantages over previous font technologies:
A single font file can print and display the font over a wide range of point sizes. Raster files require many font files to cover the same range of sizes.
The same font file can render both screen display and printer output. Raster fonts require a screen font and printer font file for each font set.
The technology for scalable fonts has standardized the production of fonts, bringing the cost of font production way down.
