Understanding How Windows 95 Works with MS-DOS Applications
Applications that simply would not run under earlier versions of the Windows MS-DOS Prompt now perform admirably. For applications that still won't run under the new Windows, a special mode helps you run them quickly and easily from within Windows, and then automatically returns you to your Windows session when you're finished.
