Connecting to Other Servers

Connecting to and using the resources on servers within the local network is easy, but how do you connect to servers other than your usual "preferred server"? You accomplish this connection just as you would expect: by using all the standard tools previously discussed.

To connect to other servers, follow these steps:

1.
Open the Network Neighborhood; all attached servers appear in the list.
2.
Select the server name and then choose File, Attach As, or right-click the server name and choose Attach As. The Enter Network Password dialog box appears.
3.
Enter your user name and password. Additionally, you can choose from the following options:
