Network Security
Security on computer networks is designed to prevent unauthorized or accidental access to the information located on the disk drives on the network. Security can extend to preventing unauthorized users from using any network resource, such as a printer. Security systems also are intended to prevent unauthorized users from using computers on the network.
Windows 95 provides a wide range of network security options. Some of the most powerful security tools, however, are not available for a workgroup network that consists of computers that run only Windows 95.
