The AutoCAD 2000 Interface
Although AutoCAD Release 14 was the first release to ship as a Windows only software product, only now has AutoCAD been capable of taking full advantage of what that environment has to offer. With a complete Windows interface, labeled as a "Heads-Up Design" environment, the AutoCAD 2000 interface has a totally efficient feel and look to it. Much emphasis has been given to enabling the user to access all the commands from the screen, similar to the way any of the Microsoft Office software products work. This permits the user to concentrate on the drawing, thus minimizing keyboard dependence.
