Creating Arrays

The Array command creates multiple copies of an object at a defined spacing. This comes in handy when you wish to copy a number of objects and you notice that the spacing between your objects is uniform. In defining the spacing, two formats are available: polar and rectangular.

To view the prompts for these two options, select the Array button from the Modify toolbar, or choose the Array command from the Modify pull-down menu (see Figure 8.11).
