Adding Line Text
Line text is preferred for short, simple text elements in a drawing, such as labels or single-line entries. In this section, you will start by adding line text to a drawing; you will then review all the different properties of text that you can manipulate, such as style, position, height, and rotation angle. You will also practice moving and changing text, and modifying the properties of existing line text.
The Line Text command can be started from the Draw menu or from the command line. If you don't already have AutoCAD 2000 running, start it now. Locate the file CH12EX01.
