So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Transitioning to Architectural Desktop
One of the most difficult tasks people face in the building design industry is progressing from traditional design techniques, where CAD is treated much like an electronic pencil, to using a software product like AutoCAD Architectural Desktop. Using built-in design features such as model-based design, the thought process of working with standard 2D drawings shifts to working with three-dimensional models. After you are accustomed to this transition, great leaps in productivity are made possible using ADT because it cuts the degree of effort on many levels.
