Choosing the Right Document View
Select a document view by clicking the View menu. Different document views have their own advantages. Most advanced Word users will find themselves switching views as they work on documents—particularly more complex documents—depending on what they're trying to accomplish.
Tip from 
If you have the horizontal scrollbar showing, there are icons for each of the four main views—Normal, Web Layout, Print Layout, and Outline—to the left of the scrollbar. If you've hidden the scrollbar, these buttons are hidden, too.
