Project: Installing Enlightenment
Sawfish is a very nice window manager, but for some people there's nothing like Enlightenment. E, as it often called, is possibly the most configurable window manager ever developed. It is huge (the RPM is about 10MB), slow on old hardware, and can sometimes fight with GNOME. It can also be a lot of fun and is one of the prettiest (or at least flashiest) window managers around. It's also one of the few window managers that is Xinerama-aware (see "The ServerLayout Section" in Chapter 5, "Configuring X," for more information on Xinerama) .
One of the great things about GNOME is that it is very easy to drop in another window manager, which is exactly what we will do in this section.
