Configuring the Panel
You can change the location, size, and other options of the Panel using the Panel Config uration dialog box. You can also adjust the positions of the items on the panel, or remove and add items on the Panel, by accessing individual items'context menus.
GNOME also allows you to have multiple panels, which can be in various places around the screen depending on their type. The panel types are described in "Configuring a Panel," later in this chapter.
Global Panel Configuration
Global Panel options apply to all panels. These generally impact look and feel for special features such as animations or special button appearances. To access the global panel configuration dialog box, click Main Menu, Panel, Global Preferences.
