Adding Security to Your Web Site
One of the most common customizations that Webmasters make to their site is adding security. This is particularly important for your site if you are only serving documents for use inside your own organization. Adding security enables you to limit access to clients with specific addresses or hostnames, or to require users to authenticate themselves to the Web server by providing a user name and password.
