An Overview of Microsoft’s SOAP Toolkit
The Microsoft SOAP Toolkit is one of many offerings on the Internet right now. My feeling is that many developers will choose either the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit or the Apache Toolkit (http://xml.apache.org/soap/) as their first development option because both of these companies have a large following and provide a reasonable level of support. Of course, many developers might have more than one toolkit in their arsenal and for good reason—I don’t believe any one toolkit will do everything you need for some time to come. I plan to cover other toolkits as the book progresses, but let’s begin with the Microsoft SOAP Toolkit for now.
