Solaris Print Manager
The power of administering the Solaris print environment lies in the various lp commands, which offer greater flexibility and control over a number of aspects of the print service administration. For example, the lp command that enables a user to submit print requests can be used with six options, with each option providing a specific feature for making a print request. The hitch in using lp commands is that the vast number of options and parameters that must be specified makes it difficult to use for administration tasks.
