There are situations where networks are designed with clients that do not have hard disks. Instead, they use the server’s hard disk for their software requirements. Take a scenario where an organization is incorporated with a small investment. One of the cost-effective measures that can be implemented in the organization’s network is to install a server and link diskless clients on the network to that server.
