Working with UDP
In UDP-based applications, data passes between the application and the UDP implementation on the sending and receiving computers. For example, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an application that uses UDP. Its protocol layering scheme in the TCP/IP reference model is SNMP, UDP, IP, and Ethernet. Data passing out from the applications through UDP converges in the Internet layer and is pushed to the network through the network interface driver. The TCP module, UDP module, and the Ethernet driver multiplex different types of data into a single frame format.
