The BOOTP Message Format
The message format is the same for both the BOOTP request and reply messages. Figure 14.3 shows the structure of a BOOTP message.

Operation Code | Specifies if the message is a request packet or a reply packet. A request packet holds the value 1and a reply packet holds the value 2in this field. |
