The transportation of finished products over long distances always holds the risk of damage or theft. Fragile products can be damaged in transit. Most organizations insure their goods before sending a consignment to its destination. Glass, for example, is a particularly fragile product that is difficult to transport without damages or loss. The duty of the transportation service is to package the fragile products with adequate protective material before transporting the goods. It is also imperative that the consignee at the destination verifies the status of the goods that have been delivered before accepting them. These measures have to be taken to ensure the integrity of the transported goods.
