Agent Discovery Process
One of the very first steps that must be undertaken by a mobile device is to determine its home or foreign agent through the process of agent discovery. The home or foreign agent, collectively called mobility agents, actually initiates the process by broadcasting advertisement messages. The mobile device uses these advertisements to determine its current location and identify the mobility agents.
