Using Outlook 2003's Junk E-mail Filter

Outlook 2003 greatly improves on its junk mail handling by adding support for a robust junk mail filter. Rather than simply relying on a short and almost impossible to edit filters file and a blocked senders list, Outlook 2003 utilizes the same sort of junk mail filtering technology present in the MSN 8 Internet service.

Outlook's Junk Mail filter operates on a system that assigns emails a spam classification level (SCL). If a message's SCL is high enough, it's automatically moved to the Junk E-mail folder. If not, the message remains in your Inbox or in any other folder a rule might move it to.
