In Chapter 26, you see how Syntax can save you time (by avoiding repetitive steps and clearly documenting exactly what you’ve done for others) and how getting started is pretty easy. When you incorporate Syntax into your routine, you’ll want to start expanding your use of Syntax — as long as doing so continues to save you time and effort.

Some Syntax commands can’t be pasted from the menus by using the Paste button. And others are easier to type than to paste using the menus. But before you can start typing Syntax, you need to learn a bit more about the grammar and the rules of Syntax, so that is where we begin.

You can always use the menus for a while before you master Syntax. There's an old saying: “When you’re ready, your teacher will appear.” So, when you’re ready, Syntax — and this chapter — will be waiting for you.
