Over the years Systems Education and Consulting (SysEdCo) has developed SAU (Standardize, Automate, and Update), which is a simple methodology for the implementation of new technologies, such as database systems and even infrastructure solutions. The methodology is nonspecific and can be applied to any technology category. With SAU, each time a new technology is implemented, you will go through each phase of the methodology. For simpler technologies (such as the first USB memory stick), each phase may take less than a few minutes or hours.
