In July of 2017, I made one of my regular visits to Redmond, Washington, as a member of the SQL Server engineering team. I live in North Richland Hills, Texas, and modern technology allows me to do much of my job remote from most of the SQL Engineering team. But I’m still a bit of an “old-school” person, and, in some cases, nothing beats working with people face to face.
