Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures

The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) list is a standardized list of known security vulnerabilities, exploits, and malware. Moreover, the CVE provides a standard way of naming information security vulnerabilities. The MITRE Corporation maintains the list and the National Cyber Security Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security sponsors the CVE.
