All of my discussions regarding lighting design to this point have been primarily about preparation. In fact, it is quite possible to get this far into the design process without having touched a single lighting instrument. Much of this chapter, like the two previous chapters, is also concerned with preparation. However, you should feel some sense of accomplishment because we are now finally ready to move into the facility and will soon be working with the actual medium of light.
