This chapter introduces a number of entertainment lighting specialties that employ lighting professionals and designers outside of the more traditional areas of theatrical lighting. Many of these specialties are closely related to theatrical design, with the most significant difference being simply one of scale. Others, like concert lighting and especially film and video lighting, have a number of unique features as well as specialized equipment that are associated with them.
