Understanding Calc Functions

In the previous chapter, we took a look at how you create your own formulas and some techniques for entering data, particularly values, into your spreadsheets. In this chapter, we'll take a look at Calc's built-in formulas—functions.

Functions can do everything from adding a range of numbers, to counting the number of entries in the range, to providing you with a amortization calculation that lets you know how much you owe on your car based on the term, amount of the loan, and interest rate.
