Designing the experiment
Do you remember doing science experiments at school? You’d set out a theory or hypothesis, list the assumptions that underpin it, describe the method you will use in the experiment, list any apparatus/equipment/requirements, describe what happened – the results – and then write your conclusions.
We’re going to do a very similar thing in the way we create an experiment to test your idea.
Hypothesis
This is where you make a sweeping claim about your idea that we are going to test with this experiment, such as ‘I believe that pub customers in the UK will pay for a low-alcohol beer that tastes good’ (I’m going to keep bringing this one up until somebody does it!).
