How does it look?

If you don’t have any negative figures at all, even in the early months, then your business is a miracle – go and check the figures again. Perhaps get your mentor to take a look, or your accountant (when you get one – see Week Twenty-One). If your figures are correct, then congratulations – you seem to have a cracking good business!

If you have some negative figures in the first half of your business plan, that’s to be expected. The key is, what is the largest negative figure? This is how much finance you need to get into the business. Does it make your eyes water? If so, get some advice from your accountant or mentor.
