Epilogue: Five Years Later
The auditorium was buzzing with conversation as CTBN employees filed in and took their seats. Cynthia sat next to Rafa, who was engrossed in a conversation with a coworker. She didn’t intend to eavesdrop, but she couldn’t help overhearing their conversation.
“So, I guess I’m not sure where to go from here. You always seem to know just how to handle things . . . Look, Rafa, I know you don’t have a lot of extra time, but if we could just meet for fifteen minutes or so it might really help me figure a way out of this.”
“Sure, no problem,” Rafa said. “Shoot me an email and we’ll set up a time.”
Five years, Cynthia thought. It’s been an interesting journey for both of us . . .
