Are You Selfish Enough to Be Selfless?

We start with two questions: “How much do you want to be an entrepreneurial leader?” and “Are you capable of being an entrepreneurial leader?” The answers to both lie in how well you know yourself. It is virtually impossible to turn your idea into something valuable and tangible if you are not motivated to do so. You must know what it is that you absolutely want to accomplish. Once you know what you want, you can answer the question of whether you are capable of getting it. What you are capable of achieving will depend not only on your motivations but also on your traits and your skills. We'll spend this chapter getting a clear picture of all three: motivations, traits, and skills.
