Chapter 3

Probability

Abstract

This chapter lays the foundation for statistical inference. It also provides a context for understanding the probability distributions used in statistical inference. The experiments associated with uncertainties are called Probabilistic experiments. The values of random variable are associated with outcomes is most significant in the theory of probability. The fundamental concepts of the theory of probability are discussed in this chapter.
