If we can successfully let go of fear and doubt and all the other phase one energies that are subsiding but still holding us at step-4, we eventually arrive at step-5, the ‘moment of truth’. This is the turning point in all journeys and a big deal for everyone. This is the moment when a person finally commits to real change. If they don’t commit, they almost immediately regress to an earlier step. As Abraham Maslow once said, “In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.” Step-5 commitment is the step forward into growth.
