To hire great people, make sure you’re hands-on in the process, identify your dream team, work with them in real time and test for team spirit
It all starts with finding the right people and if you’ve stepped up your networking, then you’ll be in a strong position when a new role opens up with a bunch of people to call up right away. If you really want to get ahead of the game, we suggest you maintain a ‘virtual bench’ of people you’d like to work with, tucked away in a Google doc on your drive. This should be a list of the people you’ve met or worked with who have most impressed you with their talent, drive, results or collaborative work-style, be they clients, suppliers or former colleagues.
