A person who earns a living from photography is a “professional” by definition. To be worthy of this title, you also need to behave in a professional manner. Many rules that apply to business people and other industries also apply to stock photography.
Someone who only takes stock photos and sells them, like myself, is running a “B2B business model” (business to business). That means that I practically never have anything to do with end customers who buy my products, but that I’m dealing primarily with other business partners, in this case photo agencies, who sell my “products” on to the customers such as graphic designers, publishers or advertising agencies.
