16. Taking Names
The students enjoy our company site visits. For some undergraduates, it’s their first business trip. Little do they know how tiring this business travel will eventually get! I travel a lot to give speeches, and after a couple of days on the road, I’m generally worn out and my clothes have been refolded so often they look like origami! Recently, I was with a team of students traveling through the Houston International Airport. Everyone was dressed in their finest, and the shoeshine man yelled out to us, “Can’t be making deals with dirty heels!” We all laughed, and two of us signed up for a shine!
