Monotype Gill Sans

Eric Gill (1882–1940) was a sculptor, carver of inscriptional lettering, wood engraver, book illus-trator, and essayist on cultural issues. Gill’s eccentric and controversial personal style continues to be a much talked about and incongruous element in his list of considerable accomplishments. He designed the typefaces Gill Sans, Perpetua, and Joanna.
