Introduction

This book is a major update to its predecessor, Storage Implementation in vSphere 5.0. I expanded the scope to include new features included with vSphere 6.0 through 6.5, along with vSAN 6.0 through 6.6. I share with you in-depth details of how things work so that you can identify problems if and when anything goes wrong. I originally planned to put everything in one book, but as I wrote, the page count kept growing, partly due to the large number of illustrations and screenshots that I hope will make the picture clearer for you.
