Estimating

Quite often one of the first questions I get from a potential new client is “What will it cost to storyboard this project?” or “How many panels does it take to storyboard a commercial?” My response is “I don’t know.” This may sound weird coming from someone of experience, but it’s true. Every project has its own needs and every director has his own visual style. Without going over the script with the director there is no way to estimate the number of storyboard panels it will take.
