Though traditionally they might have had narrowly focused bibles for a specific aspect of production (like a production design bible), film projects generally have not had story bibles. This is partly because the story within a single screenplay is small (compared to other media platforms), tightly focused and often initially written by one person (or perhaps two collaborators working together). In those cases where there are a number of writers on a project, they are usually rewriting or building off of previous script versions and also being closely guided via development notes from the producer.
